Meadows Update 04/08/2010

Hi all,

Elton (Kempinsky-Lady Madeleine)
Has been in pre-training at the Meadows for 3 weeks.
No issues and going well. Has grown into a nice strong animal.

Will head to Moody's in about 4 weeks.

Will hopefully make it to the track this prepartion..... in about 8-10 weeks.

We will need names for this one very soon.... so if you are an owner of Elton.... get them in.

Paris (Fastnet Rock - Curzon Place)
Has been in pre-training at the Meadows for 1 week.
Has come back looking fantastic... the extra time out

All going well... Will head to Moody's in about 7 weeks.

Will hopefully make it to the track this prepartion.

We will also need names for this one soon.... so if you are an owner.... get em in.

Bertonic (Bianconi - Lady Madeleine)
Has been in work 5 weeks and is is going great in pre-training.
Is on new treatment for his hocks and fetlocks, and bone-chip post-operation, we have very high hopes he'll be bigger and better than ever.

He is due to go to Moody's mid-next week.

Spring awaits, and it will be exciting to see if and how he measures up in some decent races at the 'serious' time of the racing year.

I have dreams of a Ballarat Cup in November as my 40th birthday present.

Moody is very upbeat on the Bianconi's.... noting that the more time to develop they are given the better, and that they hit their peak at 5-6 yo... and can race on.

Jayconi (Bianconi - Lady Madeleine)
Back in pre-training at the Meaodws since mid July, and due to go to Moody's in about 4 weeks.

Going very well. A really huge, strong animal.

Churchill Downs - Little Miss Ruby Filly
Has been at the breakers 3 weeks, will return to the Meadows in about 10 days.

Reports are she is a very tough, and very sensible filly.

Only one 10% share is still available at $2500 + GST.... talk to Peter if you want it.


Lady Madeleine
Terrible news - she (and Fastnet Rock foal inside her) died 10 days after we sold her, due to complications with her pregnancy.
Really sad, and just a horrible freak occurance.

Simplicty (Brief Truce - SImply Royal)

Unfortunately , due to a throat/breathing issue, has been retired and will go through the sales.

Sale: Inglis August sale, 20th August.
